We'd like to present an exciting new project for schools: Build for Change! This exhibition and competition is brought to you by the Christchurch Brick Show and Imagination Station. This event will celebrate creativity and innovation and has a multitude of potential tie-ins with school curricula, especially around local resources and environments.

Theme: Solve a problem in your community (e.g. improve your local playground, prevent or clean up litter/pollution in your area, create tools to help people in your community complete tasks more easily). 

Categories:

• LEGO
• LEGO Technic
• LEGO Robotics

(All entries must be genuine LEGO to be considered for judging. Only one entry per age group per category per school.)

Age groups:

• years 1-3
• years 4-6
• years 7-13

Size of entries: no larger than 60x60cm, with a maximum height of 1m.

Exhibition of all entries: at Tūranga the weekend of June 15/16.

Winning entries: winners of each category in each age group will be displayed at the Christchurch Brick Show. Further prizes will be announced soon!

This is a very broad topic but will allow schools to craft any competition entry to help you meet some of their DDDOs and other aspects of their 2024 curricula and themes.
