Unless specified, our after school classes are targeted toward 7-12 year olds. However, age is no barrier to learning with LEGO, so we don't have a strict age limit for our general after school classes. As our sessions run for up to two hours, we encourage parents of students under eight to stay nearby or even join our class! Feel free to get in touch with us by phone or email to discuss our after school class programmes further.
After School Classes
Imagination Station runs public after school classes around Christchurch every week. We have classes across multiple libraries throughout the week, making them super accessible!
Our after school classes are a time of exploration, fun, and project-based STEAM learning. Students are encouraged to pursue their own interests with support from our experienced facilitators who will help bring projects to life and challenge students to learn new skills.
We have a range of exciting projects for students to choose from, including short projects that can be done in a single session and longer projects that may take up to a term to complete. There is plenty of flexibility within classes for students to change what they are working on, so if inspiration strikes they can make the most of it! Students are encouraged to come with their own concepts to work on.
Projects on offer include (but are not limited to): Stop Motion Animation movie making, LEGO Robotics (using Wedo2.0, SPIKE Prime, or Mindstorms EV3), LEGO Technic mechanical building, or digital LEGO design.
We give priority to existing and returning students, then open up remaining spaces to new enrolments. Register below to go on our waitlist for next term!
