TŪRANGA Girls Code (After School Programme)

Girls Code after school classes are held on Wednesdays on Auahatanga | Creativity (level four) of Tūranga.

Our Girls Code after school class is an opportunity for girls to explore the world of Technology and Engineering alongside friends! We recognise that in many of our classes, girls are under-represented. So we've launched this class where girls can meet like minds and enjoy projects alongside their friends.

All our after school classes are a time of exploration, fun and project-based STEAM learning. Students are encouraged to pursue their own interests with support from our experienced facilitators who bring projects to life and challenge students to learn new skills.

We have a range of exciting projects for students to choose from, including short projects that can be done in a single session and longer projects that may take up to a term to complete. There is plenty of flexibility within classes for students to change what they are working on, so if inspiration strikes they can make the most of it! Students are encouraged to come with their own concepts to work on.

LEGO Mindstorms Robotics
Great Ball contraptions
LEGO Technic building
Digital LEGO design

The cost is $15 per session and can be booked by the term.

Friday: Tūranga Two spaces remaining!

We have learned that age is no barrier to learning with LEGO, so we do not have a strict age limit. As our sessions run for up to two hours, we encourage parents of students under eight to stay nearby or even join our class!
